
Amritsar, April 20: Cabinet Minister S. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal made a surprise visit to the grain markets of his constituency Ajnala. During his visit, he inspected the moisture content in wheat , reviewed procurement arrangements, and ensured that farmers receive timely payments and smooth lifting of their crops.
Minister Dhaliwal instructed officials to conduct government auctions within 24 hours, make payments to farmers within 48 hours, and lift purchased crops within 72 hours.
The Cabinet Minister reviewed facilities and cleanliness arrangements for farmers and laborers in the markets, emphasizing the importance of a comfortable and hygienic environment.
Minister Dhaliwal’s efforts have led to the development of the Ajnala grain market, which serves as a hub for buying and selling crops for four months and as a community space for locals during the remaining months.
Cabinet Minister S. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that “Under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, our government is fully prepared to purchase every grain of the farmers’ crop from the mandis, ensuring no trouble for farmers, laborers, or brokers.”
He also congratulate the farmers on the bumper crop this season, and ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process.
