Due to the strike, the workshop of research and extension experts about kharif crops scheduled for February 16-17 at PAU has been postponed by the university administration. The services of Veterinary University’s Animal Hospital have been severely affected. The teachers of both the universities assembled in front of Thapar Hall of PAU where union leaders Dr. Ravinder Singh Chandi, Dr. Gurupkar Singh, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dheri, Dr. Kamaldeep Singh Sangha, Dr. H.S. Kingra, Dr. APS Brar, Dr. Harpreet Singh addressed the gathering .
On this occasion, the speakers condemned the government for alienating these two universities. They said that on the one hand PAU supported the farmers during every crisis related to agriculture. In the past years, scientists worked day and night for the prevention of white flies. But result is being given by stopping the pay scale of experts.
The scientists of the Veterinary University said that this reward is being given to the scientists who have been tirelessly worked during the crisis of corona, lumpy skin disease and other epidemics.
