Ludhiana, 17 March: In consonance with the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to maintain the community harmony, peace and brotherhood in the society, the District Peace Committee comprising the officials from Police and Civil organized a meeting with leaders of both Migrants’ and Muslim Communities today in Bihari colony.
Leaders of both communities resolved their differences and hugged each other
They stated that some anti-social elements tried to create tensions and break the communal harmony and disturb the peace. They said that the peace and prosperity of Punjab would not be allowed to deteriorate at any cost.
Leaders of the Migrant Community also announced to hold Iftar dinner next Friday in Bihari Colony.
ADCP Prabhjot Singh Virk stated that the Punjab police would not spare anyone involved in nefarious attempts at weakening the strong social bonding amongst the people of the state.
