MP Sanjeev Arora inaugurates camp, distributes sanctioned letters for pensions and senior citizen cards
Ludhiana: To ensure that 44 types of government services reach citizens directly at their doorsteps, the Ludhiana administration organized a special camp under the AAP di Sarkar AAP de Dwar initiative at Rishi Nagar’s Senior Citizen Home on Saturday. The event was designed to make administrative services accessible and convenient for the local community.
Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora inaugurated the camp, where he personally distributed sanctioned letters for new pensions, Ayushman cards, smart ration cards, birth and death certificates, sponsorship schemes and senior citizen cards to beneficiaries. In addition to this, he also engaged with attendees, listening to their grievances and ensuring that issues requiring immediate attention were addressed promptly on the spot.
While visiting each desk established by various government departments, Arora urged the officials to proactively inform citizens about the welfare schemes offered by the Punjab Government, enabling residents to fully capitalize on available benefits. Arora emphasized that these camps will now be conducted regularly to enhance citizen convenience, underscoring Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that government services and schemes effectively reach the masses.
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain elaborated that these camps will operate under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs). He noted that officials from a wide array of departments, including Revenue, Sewa Kendras, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Social Security and Development of Women and Children, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Health, Water Supply and Sanitation, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), Municipal Corporation, Education, Rural Development and Panchayats, Food Supply, Labour, Police, and others, will actively participate to resolve grievances instantly. He highlighted that this initiative is a flagship campaign of the Punjab Government, aimed at fostering greater accessibility and efficiency in public service delivery.
The beneficiaries who received services during the camp expressed heartfelt gratitude to the government for bringing such an initiative to their neighbourhood. They appreciated the opportunity to access critical services seamlessly, praising the administration’s efforts to prioritize community welfare through this camp.
